FORD MODEL T - In the early days of motoring, battery cars were more popular as a mode of transport, until the electric starter motor offered by Cadillac around 1912, made it easy to operate petrol and diesel engines, powered by fossil fuels. Henry Ford had already introduced his mass production assembly line, and the Model T, making cars affordable (hand cranked). Well done to Henry. Today the challenge is to make clean automotive transport economical for all, in a sustainable world, for a healthier future.

Before this, Louis Bleriot crossed the English Channel on the 25th July 1909. Has the electric aircraft come of age sufficiently to cross the Atlantic on hydrogen?
