RACE AGAINST TIME: Jules Verne was 150 years ahead of his time, when he predicted that hydrogen would be the fuel of the future. Herbert George Wells, was a contemporary science fiction writer, who predicted time travel. That will have to wait.

Formula Hydrogen is the Formula One (F1) of powered boat or ship (powerboats) ocean racing. The object of such attempts, or racing events is to improve the technology and in doing so refine the engineering and fuel chemistry, as a torch for the shipping, ferry and cruise industries.

Just imagine the spectacle, raising interest in the oceans and the cutting edge technology now being developed to see shipping into the age of sustainability.

This is Eco powerboat racing, and the boats can be very fast.

Formula Hydrogen allows for any compound of the wonder molecule: L2, LH2, methanol and ammonia, Hydrogen Peroxide, or any other chemistry; such as hydride storage.

All competitors enter this series of 'World Hydrogen Challenge' events or attempts at their own risk.

We aim to enlist and anticipate the fullest possible cooperation from media, port operators and governments around the world to assist competitors to arrange, or allow them to arrange for fast refuelling F1 pit stops.
